Preapplication
Before submitting an
application to undertake
a research degree,
you are advised to contact
the respective research
institute. This will allow
you to discuss your
research proposal,
supervision and entry
to the research degree.
Before submitting an
application ensure that
you understand the
entry requirements.
Online
application
There is an online
application link from your
chosen research area page.
Once we receive your
application form there
is an extended process.
We need to identify an
appropriate supervisor
and whether you are
suitable for a doctoral
programme. Some research
institutes and offices will
also want to ensure that you
have appropriate funding
for the whole programme.
Research institutes and
offices will often contact
you directly about details
of your application or your
project prior to a final
decision being made.
Receive an
offer from
Keele!
Once a decision has been
reached, we will advise
you whether or not it has
been possible to offer
you a place and issue
a formal offer letter.
