Summer2015 l Keele Management School News 10 Alumni News What do Hilton; Cartier; Jack Daniel’s and Hershey have in common? They represent the career path of Molly Zhou since graduating from KMS with an MA Human Resource Management. Since graduation Molly has held leadership positions in multi-national companies across the industries of hospitality, luxury goods, wine and spirits and fast moving consumer goods in both China and the United Kingdom. She spent nearly 7 years with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) working for different brands and as Training Project Leader on two task forces set up to support the opening of new hotels, one of which was the largest Holiday Inn in the world in 2006. Having established herself as a proven HR professional, Molly then became Training Champion at the Hilton London Olympia where she played an important role in improving the employee satisfaction score on training. After returning to China in 2009, Molly managed the Human Resources function for Cartier, one of the most prestigious watch and jewellery brands in the world and Brown-Forman, a US-based leading wine and spirits company with iconic brand, Jack Daniel’s whiskey. Currently, she is leading the Organisation/Talent Development function for Hershey China, the subsidiary of the largest chocolate manufacture in North America. Molly has often been invited back to Keele to share her experience of the China/UK HR and training experience to students who are new to UK study and life. Developed by Keele Science Park Company, George and Partners, Skinfinity is a new, 100% natural supplement that works by protecting the “skin from within”. The capsules contain only natural ingredients which help to build up a deep, long-lasting tan, whilst simultaneously protecting the skin against UV-induced ageing. Its key constituents are powerful, naturally occurring anti-oxidants, including lycopene and beta-carotene as well as vitamins C and E to improve skin protection and to prolong the effect of the supplement. KMS Marketing students are conducting a market research project looking at customer perceptions of tanning and the health benefits of supplements before developing a strategic plan to help to boost sales of the product. We’ll report back on the results in our next magazine (when we’ll all be looking tanned and a lot younger!).
