16 Venture / KEELE MANAGEMENT SCHOOL Mercia Centre for Innovation Leadership (MCIL) Aimed at entrepreneurs, investors, students and anyone interested in how small businesses lead, grow and innovate their business. The MCIL blog merciaresearch.wordpress.com publishes short research articles and observations from the Mercia Centre for Innovation Leadership programme. The MCIL programme is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Keele University and supports SME owners in the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to develop their leadership skills in order to create new jobs and innovations.  Dr Udeni Salmon, Research and Innovation Associate, maintains the MCIL blog. The blog covers a variety of articles including; Young Entrepreneurs – passion or necessity? and why marketing has hijacked social media.
