WELCOME to the Keele Education Conference 2022
We are delighted to welcome you to the Keele Education Conference 2022 .
Our theme is Assessment , a core part of the way we teach , the way students learn , and the way we define the value and quality of student study .
It is a topic that is especially vibrant given the debates around authentic , alternative and digital
assessments that have been energised by the pandemic context . The HE sector is looking at
assessment design with a fresh perspective .
Across the University , we have set up a series of groups exploring dimensions of assessment and feedback , and Schools are piloting ways of mapping , evaluating and improving assessment design . Assessment criteria and principles are currently under review . This is a great time to join the debate .
There ’ s a fantastic , cross-disciplinary lineup of speakers from across the University who will be sharing their insights and case-studies . Our external keynotes , Professors Naomi Winstone and Tansy Jessop , bring great expertise and leadership in this area , and our panel members offer rich experience , insight and provocation . Have an inspiring day , Rafe Hallett and Filippo Nereo Conference Co-organisers Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence ( KIITE ) JOIN US by adding our Conference Microsoft Team This year the Keele Education Conference will be being held via Microsoft Teams .
