Creating a user account and password on a PC
using Windows XP Operating System
The computer terminal assigned to you requires that you create a user account and a password for security and privacy reasons. By doing this you will be the only one who will have access to your user
name because it will be password protected. Below are the steps and illustration to help guide you get
started.

Step 1: Click on the START button, drag your
mouse up to SETTINGS and over to the right. Click
on CONTROL PANEL.

Step 2: Select the icon of a boy and girl that says
USER ACCOUNTS.

Step 4: Type in your first and last name like
shown above and then click on NEXT box.

Step 3: Select CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT
