Le conseil d ’ administration de la Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec ( Ilagiisaq-FCNQ ) s ’ est réuni à Kangiqsualujjuaq du 22 au 24 novembre 2016 pour passer en revue les activités et les projets de la FCNQ et de ses coopératives membres . Le directeur général , M . François Day , a annoncé que la FCNQ et ses coopératives membres ont contribué par l ’ entremise du Fonds du patrimoine inuit ( Heritage Fund ) à différents projets totalisant 220 000 $. Le Fonds a été créé conjointement par la FCNQ et ses coopératives lors de l ’ assemblée générale annuelle en avril dernier .
M . Day a aussi précisé que beaucoup de travail a été accompli par les employés et qu ’ il était très satisfait des progrès réalisés sur plusieurs fronts . Il a apporté comme exemple la conclusion en août 2016 des accords d ’ acquisition de deux compagnies de transport œuvrant dans le secteur minier dans la région de la rivière Déception , Transport Katinniq inc . et Transport Padlayat inc . Ces deux sociétés sont maintenant des filiales de la FCNQ et les bénéfices réalisés seront entièrement versés aux coopératives .
Les résultats financiers intérim de la FCNQ et de ses filiales ont également été présentés au conseil d ’ administration et ont permis de démontrer la solidité financière du réseau . La FCNQ poursuit ainsi son mandat de développement et de renforcement des services de soutien à ses membres . L ’ ensemble des directeurs des services de la FCNQ ont d ’ ailleurs présenté d ’ excellents rapports d ’ activité au conseil d ’ administration . •

The Board of Directors of the Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau- Québec ( Ilagiisaq-FCNQ ) met in Kangiqsualujjuaq on November 22 ‒ 24 , 2016 to review the FCNQ ’ s activities and projects and those of its member cooperatives . The General Manager , François Day , announced that the FCNQ and its member cooperatives , via the Inuit Heritage Fund , contributed a total of $ 220,000 to various projects . The Fund was created jointly by the FCNQ and its member cooperatives at the Annual General Meeting last April .
Mr . Day noted that a good deal of work had been carried out by the employees and that he was very satisfied with the progress made on various fronts . As an example , he cited the signing in August 2016 of agreements to acquire two transportation companies operating in the mining sector in the Deception River region ( Transport Katinniq Inc . and Transport Padlayat Inc .). Both of these companies are now FCNQ subsidiaries and all profits will go to the cooperatives .
The interim financial results for the FCNQ and its subsidiaries were also submitted to the Board and demonstrated the network ’ s solid financial footing . The FCNQ continues to pursue its mandate of developing and strengthening its array of member support services . All of the FCNQ ’ s department managers presented highly encouraging activity reports to the Board of Directors . •
