Amanda Hoogland has been working at the FCNQ since April 2002. She started in the Shipping department while studying photography at Dawson College. Intrigued by traveling to Nunavik, she applied to work in the Hotel department in August 2007. After her first trip she knew she was in the right place. She now works closely with the hotel managers, trying to help solve daily challenges. She enjoys her yearly trips to Nunavik where she has the opportunity to cross paths with the managers and clients as well as meet new people.
Véronique Boucher has worked for the FCNQ as a hotel reservation agent since May 2014. Her responsibilities include taking reservations, sending and receiving group contracts, optimizing room occupancy and producing statistical reports on occupancy. She enjoys helping guests to our thirteen cooperative hotels and responding to their various requests. She has been lucky enough to travel to three communities in Nunavik: Kuujjuaq, Kangiqsualujjuaq and Aupaluk. She found the experience most interesting and was amazed by the culture and landscape.
