Elle s’ est rendue dans treize des quatorze communautés pour présenter des états financiers et dresser des inventaires; cela lui a donné l’ occasion de rencontrer en personne les employés avec qui elle communique quotidiennement et d’ établir de bonnes relations de travail avec eux. Pour Nicole, le travail auprès des coopératives est une expérience stimulante et enrichissante, et elle est fière de contribuer au développement des coopératives dans tout le Nunavik.
Evelyne Waefler travaille à la FCNQ depuis deux ans en tant que comptable professionnelle agréée et elle est en mesure de confirmer qu’ il s’ agit bien d’ une grande famille. Responsable des coopératives de Salluit, Akulivik, Kuujjuaraapik et Quaqtaq, elle a tout de même la chance d’ aider régulièrement les autres coopératives sur le plan comptable, ce qui fait qu’ ils se connaissent tous d’ une certaine manière. Son tempérament curieux et ricaneur rend les échanges parfois anecdotiques. Amoureuse de l’ hiver et des voyages, elle ne peut être plus choyée que de travailler avec les gens du Nunavik!
Pierre Tremblay est comptable professionnel agréé et CA auditeur. Il est coordonnateur à la comptabilité des coopératives à la FCNQ depuis août 2015. Auparavant, il a travaillé chez Raymond Chabot en tant qu’ auditeur et a eu la chance de visiter quelques-unes des communautés du Nunavik. Aujourd’ hui, il offre surtout de l’ aide en comptabilité et du soutien à la gestion aux directeurs généraux des coopératives.
Techniciens en comptabilité
Des rapprochements bancaires à l’ équilibrage des transferts monétaires mensuels en passant par toutes sortes d’ autres tâches, les techniciens en comptabilité agissent en coulisse pour soutenir le service de comptabilité des coopératives. Ils jouent également un rôle essentiel en aidant les coordonnateurs de la comptabilité à produire les états financiers pendant l’ année.

Accounting Coordinators
Accounting coordinators are called to work with the cooperatives’ general managers to ensure the co-ops’ proper administrative functioning, particularly in accounting. Since coordinators play a decision-making support role,“ Our recommendation” is the watchword used with managers and the board of directors. They are, after all, the bosses! Coordinators ensure daily bookkeeping is in proper and due form as well as produce bi-annual and annual audits as well as financial statements for external accountants. The“ cherry on top” is that they travel occasionally to the communities for the cooperatives’ annual inventory and to present financial statements.
Nicole Poitras joined the FCNQ family nine years ago. As part of the coop accounting team and with degrees in accounting and psychology, she supports the staff throughout the fourteen communities and provides them with management, accounting and administrative support advice on the daily functions and challenges they face within their co-ops. Inventories and financial statement presentations have allowed her to travel to 13 of the 14 communities and have given her the opportunity to interact and develop a good working relationship with those she speaks with daily. Working with the cooperatives is a challenging and rewarding experience and she is proud to be part of the cooperative development across Nunavik.
