She flinches at the sudden sound piercing in her ears Different words- Contrasting cheerfulnessYet she realizes, it is her own “I said- do away with the tears.” Once again, gently the voice reaches out “I hate myself.” As if a record player has turned itself on Her voice from few breaths ago rings against her ear. She cringes as the each verse of the words Reveals its meaning to her again “There you go again. Tears. Self-contempt.” Her own voice yet the one radiating cheerfulness chuckles “You understand you are just hiding behind them don’t you?” “No.” She doesn’t understand She refuses to understand “You are just afraid to face the problem as it is-“ The lightness of the voice Unbearably starts to weigh on her “Hiding under the emotionsBlaming it on your natural flaws-“ “I just want to be a different person” The voice of the resemblance Lets out a blissful laughter “No one’s stopping you-“ The laughter shakes the voice so hard It has to stop for a moment to continue “Well- nothing except you” The voice chuckles again “Funny thing isn’t itDreading over everything- 17
