Lantern Parade & Seasonal Events
We’ re also really excited to be working with BArts, a local participatory arts organisation, to grow our annual campus Lantern Parade into a signature Keele tradition.
Thanks to Keele Key Funding, the 2026 parade will take place again this autumn, and full details will be announced soon- expect light, colour and plenty of opportunities to get involved in making the lanterns themselves.
People, Planet and Place
ArtsKeele is proud to contribute to the University’ s Festival of People, Planet and Place, continuing our long-standing commitment to sustainability and environmental creativity. Previous highlights have included our involvement in the annual Green Week, organising an Earth Day Festival in 2024 with local partner Appetite, and bringing Luke Jerram’ s spectacular installation GAIA to campus— an unforgettable moment that showcased the beauty and fragility of our planet.

Three Counties Open Art Exhibition
Looking ahead, one of our biggest events this summer is the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, which invites artists of all ages, levels and backgrounds to submit work. The exhibition includes a special award category dedicated to Sustainability in Art, sponsored by North Staffordshire Friends of the Earth, celebrating work that explores environmental themes or integrates sustainable practice.
