The 2026 festival took place in the Wade Conference Centre on the 26th March, welcoming an audience of 161 people to its halls. Not only was this a time to celebrate the winning filmmakers, but also for the local community( and those virtually joining via live stream) to come together in this communal mission.
The festival offers a number of film categories including documentary, animation, fiction, experimental, young filmmaker, and local filmmaker. But this year ' s event the festival announced its two new categories for the 2026 / 27 festival – the poetic film and disability category. These exciting new opportunities open the festival up to a plethora of new audiences and filmmakers, encouraging creatives to explore all avenues of the environment and sustainability.
