THERESE C. CAGGIULA
COLEBROOK – Thérèse C. Caggiula, 94, of Colebrook, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday evening, June 12, 2016, surrounded by family.
She was born in Whitefield on Sept. 30, 1921, a daughter to the late Joseph and Adine( Boissoneault) Crepeau. She attended Whitefield schools, and attended Carney Hospital Nursing School in Boston for 6 months before marrying Vincent L. Caggiula in 1941.
Thérèse spent most of her life raising her eleven children, but she always remained active in her local Catholic Church, serving as president, secretary, and treasurer of the St. Brendan ' s Women ' s group at different times, and singing in the choir for many years. She always loved skiing, and after her family grew up, she spent several years as a ski instructor at the Balsams Wilderness Ski Area. She was a favorite instructor for many skiers, especially the local children in the school program. She loved crafting and sewing and was a member of the Shady Ladies quilting club, enjoyed gardening, and was a member of the local gardening club, and loved having coffee with " the girls." She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and her greatest passion was caring for her family. Therese always loved children – her own, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed the sounds and laughter of children everywhere.
She is survived by her eleven children: Vincent, Jr.( Chip) of Douglasville, Ga.; Peter, of Plymouth; Suzanne Shook and husband, Jaron, of Newark, Ohio; Gina Vaughn and husband, Jerry, of Roswell, N. M.; William( Bill) of St. Pete Beach, Fla.; Paula and partner, Stephen Butters, of Norway, Maine; Daniel, of Nashua; Marty, of Maui, Hi.; Chris and wife, Stephanie, of Merrimack; Lisa and husband Tom Riddler of Vermontville, N. Y.; and Jon and wife Pamela of Concord. Thérèse is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Thérèse was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Vin Caggiula, in 1998; six brothers: Maurice, Paul, Lionel, Eugene, George, Daniel; three sisters:

Louise, Madeleine, and Claire; an infant daughter, MaryAnn, and a grandson, Jeremy Vaughn.
Calling hours were on Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 6 to 8 p. m. at the Jenkins and Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Brendan ' s Catholic Church at 1 p. m. on Friday, June 17, with The Rev. Craig Cheney as celebrant. An interment service will follow at St. Brendan ' s Catholic Cemetery.

G. RUTH BRADY
COLUMBIA – Mrs. G. Ruth Brady, 92, of Columbia passed away on Friday afternoon, June 10, 2016, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook.
She was born on May 31, 1924, in Lee, a daughter to the late George and Gladys( Demerritt) Smith. Ruth grew up in Lee. In her younger days, she worked at the large shoe factory in Newmarket.
She was married to Francis W. Brady, and together they moved to the north country in the mid-1960s, where, as a team, they farmed for years in Colebrook and Columbia while raising their family. Ruth loved her gardens, both flowers and vegetables, both indoors and out. She had a passion for feeding the hummingbirds and cherished their return every spring. Her family will remember her as an excellent cook, and as one who loved to prepare large family dinners, and also as the rock that the family was built upon.
She leaves behind two children, James‘ Jim’ Brady and wife Betty of Lee, and Kathleen Brady of Columbia; two sisters, Alice Pender and Pauline Noyes; a brother, Charles Smith; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Francis W. Brady in 2011, and a son, Richard‘ Dick’ Brady in 2015.
There are no public calling hours. A private family committal will take place at a later date at the family plot in the Riverside Cemetery in Newmarket.

MAURICE CONNARY INURNMENT SERVICE ISLAND POND, Vt.– Maurice Platt Connary, 89, of Birch St. Island Pond, Vt., died peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Newport Health Care Center in Newport, Vt. after a short illness. A burial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11 a. m. in the Center Stratford Cemetery.
He was born in Stratford on Jan. 15, 1927 a son of Howard C. and Anna K.( Platt) Connary. He was a graduate of Stratford High School class of 1945.
Maurice lived most of his life in Stratford; he lived in Groveton from 1954-1961 then moved back to Stratford until moving to Island Pond twenty-nine years ago.
