Person of the Year 2026 Finalists

Each year the Apartment Association is honored to recognize our extraordnary volunteers and announce the president ' s choice " Person of the Year " at June Awards. Here is a brief look at the finalists for this award.
JON BUTTERS | Real Floors
Jon has been an outstanding volunteer and champion for AAMD for many years. As a Co- Chair of the Bowling Committee, he has played a key role in growing the event into one of AAMD’ s most successful and well-loved events. Jon is always willing to step in, lend a hand, and support the association however needed.
SARAH EDISON
Sarah has been a dedicated leader with AAMD for several years, making a lasting impact on the multifamily industry through advocacy, education, and community involvement. She has represented the industry at the Capitol, testified on important issues, and shared her expertise through speaking and moderating panels. As Co-Chair of the Career Initiative Committee, Sarah has supported workforce development through job fairs, partnerships with Junior Achievement, and promoting ProApartments. com.
MARCELLA EPPSTEINER | Mission Rock Residential
Marcella’ s impact on AAMD continued to shine this year through her leadership, innovation, and passion for the industry. She co-chaired the highly successful TechCon event, led the Communications Committee, and played a key role in developing meaningful, high-quality local content for Trends. In addition, Marcella remained deeply involved in AAMD education, the MIND Mentorship Program, the New Office Task Force, and community outreach efforts through Junior Achievement— consistently elevating those around her through service and collaboration.
LISA JEFFERIES | Avanti Residential
Lisa is a true force within our industry and association. Through her service on the AAMD Executive Committee, JLAC, CAA Board of Directors, and Best Practices Committee, Lisa has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication. She enthusiastically contributed to Trends, taught CAPS, and offered thoughtful insight and guidance in AAMD’ s New Office Task Force. Lisa’ s willingness to serve in so many capacities with positivity and professionalism- made a lasting impact on AAMD and its members.
