Page 4 March, 2014 Celebrating Catholic Sch Each year Catholic schools around the country celebrate Catholic Schools Week on the last week of January. Schools do a great job of doing so each year through a variety of activities. Visitation of Our Lady School stud cancelled due to icy roads. This year’s theme, which will be used for three consecutive years, is “Catholic Sch Our celebration began with Monday Morning Mass in which Student Council members served as lectors for the Mass Each homeroom designed a door banner illustrating the theme of this year’s Catholic Schools Week After Mass, the HALO Club and the Student Council gave a presentation on this year’s Catholic Schools Week theme To celebrate Catholic Schools Week, seventh and eighth grade students entered 2-D and 3-D projects illustrating symbols of our faith. Winners in the 2-D category were 8th grader Lindsey Dang—1st place, 8th grader Tyler Rudolph—2nd place, 7th grader Jordan LaCava—3rd place. In the 3-D category winners were 7th grader Victoria Parria—1st place, 8th grader Victoria Lee—2nd place, 7th grader Jonathan Danos—3rd place.
