Stations of the Cross Added
to Prayer Garden
This Lent VOL parishioners will be able to
experience Stations of the Cross in a new way. Outdoor
plaques representing the Stations of the Cross have been
added to the Prayer Garden behind the church.
Their size and color are such that they allow beauty
of the garden to remain a major focus. The placement of the
plaques are at a height that is easily visible to children,
making the area ideal for families to pray together.
Having the Stations outdoors gives adults an
opportunity to teach children about the Crucifixion of Christ
in an environment in which they are not bound to the
confines of the quiet church. Young children who may not
yet be able to read can experience the Stations of the Cross
in the relaxed surroundings of the outdoors.
Adults may also find the Stations a welcome retreat
after a long day, a great way to start their days, or just spend
time with Christ in solitude. All are welcome!
Outdoor Stations of the Cross are located in the
Prayer Garden behind the church and are accessible 24-7.
