It’s a big misconception that losing weight requires
exercise. It doesn’t. Yet people believe they have to “hit
the gym” anytime they want to lose weight. You don’t
have to. Most of your weight loss will come from
caloric restriction. The reason? It’s just too easy to
negate any calories burned during exercise by eating
something. There’s a saying: you can’t outrun your fork!
It means that it takes extraordinary amounts of calories
burned during exercise to equal the calories in the
foods we eat.
