BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING May 1st , 2024 7:00 PM American Legion , Chaska , MN MINUTES
Board Members Present : James Duenow , Rachel Duenow , Paul Hansen , Steve Bobzin , Julia Northwick , Julie Gintner Members Absent : Lori Taylor , Keith Sather , Amber Duncanson , Karson Duncanson , Ann Goebel
Other members and visitors : Sandy Strube ( Procedures / Tri County Riders of Watertown ), Sara Schwartz ( 23-24 WSCA Princess / Parliamentarian / Wissota ApHC ), Glenn Strube ( Rulebook / Tri-County Riders of Watertown ), Cindy Ladd ( Rulebook / Over Easy Riders ), Lynn-Ellen St . Martin ( Judges / Crow River Riders )
Meeting was called to order by President James Duenow at 7:04PM Public Open Comment : None Secretary ’ s Report : Liz Bauer
Motion made by Steve Bobzin , seconded by Julia Northwick to approve the April 3rd , 2024 , Board Meeting Minutes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer

Balance Sheet and Income Statement was presented , YTD Net Income ( Loss ) is $ 5,202.42 and LYTD Net Income ( Loss ) was ($ 4,562.58 ). Jennifer has is almost done with the 2024 Tax return .
Motion made by Rachel Duenow , seconded by Steve Bobzin , to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from 04 / 30 / 2024 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : There have been 4 memberships turned in since 04 / 28 / 2024 . 2024 memberships to date total 174 clubs . One question was asked on vendors requesting location preference . Rachel noted that vendors submitting their vendor applications can list their preferences in the comments section of the form . Vendor location preference will be first given to Champ Show sponsors .
Committee Reports : Championship Horse Show : James Duenow
2024 Champ show is moving forward well , while continuing to also plan 2025 . James is looking to set up a committee meeting in the next few weeks to see what Champ show 2025 may look like . Working on new entry system Horse Show for Windows , and Lynn-Ellen will be working through the judging process with the new entry system . The committee found a way to re-use un-used champ ribbons by replacing the center streamer . This will be a useful way to cut expense for champ show .
Computer : Jake Flodquist
Absent . Jake had a meeting with Matthew to gain full access to the database . He has been responding to password and club update requests on champshow . org . He is looking for the query to be able to pull 2024 qualifications instead of 2023 . The cost for hosting increased from $ 80 to $ 200 monthly related to the operating system that the database is designed for being outdated . Upgrading right now may break how the website interacts with the database .
