Saddle Club Cues ... The Business of Sponsorships
WSCA is unique in its ability , thanks to our array of local saddle clubs and sub associations , to bring an exciting variety of events to communities throughout the Midwest . However , organizing such events often requires financial support beyond saddle club dues and entries . So the question to your saddle club is this : are the businesses that your club employs supporting your events ? If seeking sponsors is an area that is new to you , consider some of the following questions :
- Understanding Your Target Audience : What are the demographics of your saddle club members , spectators , and event participants ? The likelihood of a business being willing to work with your group improves as your ability to share specific details about the prospective audience improves .
- Leveraging Personal Connections : Is our club tapping into our community of local equestrian professionals to advertise services at our events ? Are any saddle club members affiliated with these people willing to share the benefits of advertising at events ?
