Ecogiving launches in Spain
What if you could help the planet by making simple swaps to plastic-free , vegan certified products , all made in the EU or UK , and help your chosen charity , NGO , school or church at the same time ?

Ecogiving . org promises to do both , and it launched in Spain last month on June 17 , so is inviting charities , NGOs , schools and churches to sign up for free so that they can benefit from this unique opportunity . Over 150 already have !
The answer to these questions was a Eureka moment that came to founder Garry Robey ( pictured ) at about two in the morning six months ago , when he was reevaluating his career in sales , which had been repeatedly leaving him burnt out and unfulfilled .
“ My family and I are proud supporters of our local charities in Torrox Costa and Nerja , where we have lived for five years , and we have always been so upset that there is zero additional support from outside the charity ’ s exisiting communities for such important work these charities do ,” he explained . “ There is also a big missing link between charities getting their communities to donate regularly .”
He was up all night running the numbers and in the morning excitedly explained the concept to his wife , who assured him he ‘ had to do this ’ because it could be ‘ great for the world ’.
The way it works is simple ; all these organisations have to do is use their own channels to promote the products , using promotional materials all supplied by Ecogiving .
In return , anyone who clicks through to the website and makes a purchase will see part of the price automatically donated to that same organisation , the amount of which is clearly shown when they pay .
Likewise , anyone who goes straight to the Ecogiving . org website and makes a purchase will be able to browse through all the affiliated good causes and choose which one they would like to receive the donation that is already included in each price .
Every organisation has its own ‘ landing page ’ on the website , with engaging interviews , photos and a link to generate traffic to their own site , plus a barometer showing exactly how much they have raised through Ecogiving .
Garry has researched and talked to local charities and his own son ’ s school amongst others , confirmed his suspicions that good causes like these have high running costs and would be interested in a means to take some of this stress away from them so they do not always have to be begging and can concentrate on doing what they set out to do .
He has since visited Alicante to enlist more organisations , just a few of which went on Ecogiving . org when it launched while they check everything is working perfectly before incorporating more .
Moreover , the company has been accepted for 1 % for the Planet and the Eden reforestation project so will also donate 1 % of its annual revenue to www . onepercentfortheplanet . org , and will plant a tree for every order placed on their site , in collaboration with the Eden reforestation project .
Garry added that they have applied for B Corp certification as well , which is the ‘ gold standard ’ for companies that are ‘ building a more inclusive and sustainable economy for all people and the planet ’.
The products themselves are not only plastic-free and vegan certified , 80 % of them are made in Spain as part of Ecogiving ’ s commitment to simultaneously help local businesses and their community ’ s economy .
