DECEMBER 2016 TOYS FOR THE NEEDY CHILDREN BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11 8 AM-12 PM @ EAGLES CLUB The United Labor Participation Committee are providing a breakfast fundraiser for Toys for the Needy Children. The menu includes breakfast items, biscuits and gravy, and beverages. Cost is $10 for adults; free for children under 8. This month features author Kurt Wagner, who wrote the newly released The Mouse Who Stirred at Christmas. Kurt and his wife Tina will explain how the book came about, a bit about the process of writing a children’s book. They’ll also sign and sell copies of the book. The film is a new look at how the community of Newtown, CT came together in the aftermath of the largest mass shooting of schoolchildren in American history.
