TOYS FOR THE NEEDY CHILDREN
BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER

The United Labor Participation Committee
are providing a breakfast fundraiser for
Toys for the Needy Children. The menu includes breakfast items, biscuits and gravy,
and beverages. Cost is $10 for adults; free
for children under 8. All proceeds will
purchase toys to be given away at the
annual ULC Christmas Dinner. For more

a lineup of writers, artists, musicians,
and some hands-on crafts. This month
features author Kurt Wagner, who wrote
the newly released The Mouse Who Stirred
at Christmas. Kurt and his wife Tina will
explain how the book came about, a bit
about the process of writing a children’s
book. They’ll also sign and sell copies of

(CNV) will hold a vigil to remember the
victims the Sandy Hook Elementary School
shooting in Newtown, CT. All are invited.
Participants are asked to bring signs and

The Dubuque Coalition for Non-Violence
(CNV) will hold a screening of the film
Newtown (2016). The film is a new look at
how the community of Newtown, CT came
together in the aftermath of the largest
mass shooting of schoolchildren in American history. Admission is free, however
donations to the Coalition will be accepted.
