The truth is they have found something that they love. A runner who loves to run, might hate the idea of getting on a bike. A cyclist who loves speed might hate the idea of swimming. A swimmer might think the cyclist mad. Who wouldn’ t prefer to be slicing through the water?
Find something that you love. If you haven’ t found it yet, keep looking. And keep looking until you find it … you might find it in the most unlikely place.
How about kayaking … or kapa haka? Golf … or tramping? How about joining a team or club? Tennis anyone? Think laterally. Don’ t you think one of the most interesting things about life is how you can surprise yourself?
Talk to one of those people who decided to put on their shoes one day and run. Having never run in their life and avoiding it at all costs growing up … and there they are, out there running and loving it
And the old ' Fake it till you make it ' saying is pertinent here. While you’ re on your way to finding what you love, practise the power of positive thinking. It really works.
