The Family Learning Center . The Family Learning Center is dedicated to
serving the family as a whole by educating children and providing caretakers with
the resources, tools and training necessary to care for a child with special needs.
We plan to launch programs for families in the community who need additional
support in caring for their child with special needs such as classes about behavior
management in the home and adapted literacy programs for children with special
needs.
Early Intervention . Our Early Intervention program is designed to serve children
ages zero to three years old, when 85% of the brain is being developed. Due to our
lengthy waiting list, many of our students are not receiving services during this crucial
period of development. Once fully functioning, our Early Intervention program will
allow families on the waiting list to start receiving the tools and training they need
to care for their child. No longer will a child only be receiving services at the Little
Light House, but will be able to carry out the programs in their home. We are currently
piloting the program with several families on the waiting list and have seen nothing
but great results!
Developmental Classrooms . The Family Learning Center will also house two
additional developmental classrooms, allowing us to enroll 20 additional students.
These classrooms will function exactly like the classrooms in the current building with
10 students, one lead teacher, two assistant teachers, and a team of therapists who
work together to help each student unlock their unlimited potential.
YOU
YOU. With the increase in budget occuring because of the Family Learning Center
we need your help to raise the funds needed to make these programs a reality. One
huge way to do this is by becoming a monthly donor. Our monthly donors are our
“Classroom Heroes”. Will you become a hero and sign up for a monthly donation? Visit
