Expressing her wish that children around
the world participate in P4P or similar
charitable programs, Anindita says, “It’s
a way kids can learn and be grateful for what
they have.” And she loves the ripple effect
of programs like P4P: “Children who are
lucky enough to go to school can also build
character and help another child in need.”
Anindita says, “It’s important knowing
you can help anyone in the world wherever
you are.” This young woman is an inspiring
example of how you’re never too young
to provide help and hope to those in need.
According to her, “Even the smallest amount
of giving could make the biggest difference
in the world.”

EMANUELA PASSERINI
56 years old
Emanuela is from Italy and has been
sponsoring charities for many years. As the
mother of a daughter, she is particularly sen-
sitive to the fact that many girls throughout
the world are denied educational opportu-
nities. She also recognizes that many who
do attend school endure great sacrifices to
do so.
When Emanuela learned
about P4P, she immediate-
ly embraced the cause. She
regularly gathers her extra
copper coins (Euro cents)
for P4P, and when she sees
a two-cent coin among
them, she thinks to herself,
“Well! Two more pencils!”
She loves knowing that
through her contributions to
education, she is helping to raise up girls and
women to become independent, respected
individuals who make their communities—
and the world—a better place.
Having a charitable spirit is personal for
Emanuela. As she says, “Helping others
is for me a kind of thanksgiving for not
having to fight every day to put something
on my table. It is just fate that I am not in
their place, and they in mine.” Emanuela
believes that, no matter what your age
or circumstance, “we all can share a little for
those who really are in need.” l
