Reading it takes about as long as finishing your bowl of cornflakes!

Looking in the mirror, Jonathan Creed adjusts his collar and tightens his belt. He lowers his hands to the curve of his overhanging stomach and strokes it, as if verifying a pregnancy consisting of late-night take outs and chardonnay. He buttons the cuffs of his borrowed white shirt, noticing a stain on the left sleeve. He knows he won’t forgive. He inspects his receding hairline and extracts a few white strands.
