What's the Word?

The Help by Kathryn Stockett Finished

Where to begin...The Help was a widely praised book by so many outlets. I saw the movie late last year and loved it. So, I decided to try and read the book. Best decision ever. It was a wonderful read and extremely hard to put down. It was better than the movie, which was phenomenal by the way. It is the type of read that moves you in otherwordly directions to want to be a better person. To make the world a better place. Words cannot accurately describe the way this book speaks the truth about the way life used to be, and how we cannot let life ever go back to that time.

Pines by Blake Crouch Finished

This book was crazy. Completely certifiably insane, and I loved every minute of it. It is part of a trilogy, which I am guessing that each book is more unbelivable than the last. The premise of the book sounds ludicrous. It is about a guy who arrives in a small town on assignment to find two lost agents who went MIA. What he finds instead bends his understanding and shakes him to the core. This town is filled with unexplainable sights that makes our hero (Ethan Burke) question his sanity. With no way out he has to find out what makes this town tick in order to survive.
