A Dark Lure by Loreth Anne White Finished

This book was completely insane. It was a free ebook, so I thought it could be a hit or miss. So many ebooks are misses because they aren't put together right, or aren't promoted properly. But this one was epically off the wall, in a good way.

I started the book with the "this is going to be awful," frame of mind. First sentence took my breath away. The book has very vivid, sexual, imagery. I didn't know what to do, because I wasn't expecting that at all.

The story is about a seriel killer who wants to get the one who got away back. He wants to finish the job, and he is fixated on killing her. Meanwhile a almost retired cop is fixated on catching him, because he believes the wrong man went to jail for the heinous crimes. Later on more characters come into play and they have their own chapters. It can get kind of confusing at first. But this book was hard to put down.
