FIDEI

Pilgrims of Hope: Living the Lasallian Mission In 2025, the FIDEI programmes at St. Joseph’ s Institution continued to form men and women of faith, service and community, inspired by the Lasallian spirit and the theme of the Jubilee Year – Pilgrims of Hope. Guided by the example of St John Baptist de La Salle, the Catholic ethos of SJI invited all Josephians to be bearers of hope through prayer, service and fellowship.
Each week, Catholic students gathered in small FIDEI communities to pray, reflect and learn together. Beyond their weekly sessions, FIDEI groups took an active role in organising the Friday Masses, supporting major school events and leading service projects in collaboration with Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital @ Potong Pasir. These experiences deepened students’ relationships with God while nurturing skills in teamwork, communication and empathy.
A memorable highlight was the inaugural Easter Bazaar, jointly organised by the Emmaus and SSVP FIDEI groups with the Catholic Parents Support Group. The joyous celebration raised funds for the MaJeKaL Mission in Manila, which was further strengthened through the annual Lenten Project.
