Principal’ s Message

As we look back with gratitude on all that has unfolded in 2025, we can be immensely proud of what we have accomplished as one Josephian community. This year’ s Josephian Annual is more than a chronicle of events; it is a living testament to who we are as a Lasallian school; united in faith, grounded in our values and committed to nurturing young people who will shape the future with courage, compassion and purpose.
Every school year in SJI begins and ends in the same spirit; with Thanksgiving. We begin by seeking God’ s guidance in our work and we end by giving thanks for the blessings received. In moments of triumph, God teaches us humility; in moments of challenge, He strengthens our resolve. Through His grace, we continue to grow in wisdom, compassion and faith. This posture of gratitude anchors us as we celebrate another remarkable year at SJI.
Our 2025 school theme, Celebrating Growth & Shaping Possibilities Together, beautifully captures the spirit of our shared journey. Growth never happens in isolation. It unfolds through relationships, encouragement and the generosity of those who guide, support and believe in us. Possibilities, too, are not accidental; they are shaped intentionally by a community that dares to dream boldly, collaborate purposefully and persevere with resilience.
This year has been filled with learning, achievement, resilience and joy. Our students have excelled across all domains- in academics, sports, the performing arts, the uniformed groups, leadership and service. We celebrate outstanding performances in national and international examinations and competitions, but just as importantly, we honour the countless Josephians who have distinguished themselves through integrity, humility and strength of character. More than the accolades, what fills us with the deepest pride are the daily expressions of the Josephian spirit: the quiet acts of kindness, the courage to do what is right, the resilience to rise from setbacks and the willingness to serve others even when no one is watching.
Being a true Josephian has always meant being a person for others. Whether through raising funds for good causes, caring for migrant workers, supporting children battling illnesses, or championing the marginalised, our young Josephians have lived out the values of Faith, Service and Community with sincerity and conviction. These efforts reflect the heart of our Lasallian mission and remind us that education is, ultimately, about forming people of integrity and compassion who we nurture to build a more inclusive and caring society.
