Chapter 3 Diary of Events
During the parade, LTC Michael presented awards to recognise the outstanding cadets from the 5 Uniformed Groups. He also presented Long Service Awards to teachers. This year, Mr Alphonsus Gregory, Group Scout Leader of the St Joseph’ s Pelandok Scout Group was recognised for his 40 years of dedicated service and contributions to the Uniformed Group.
One of the highlights of the parade was when SJI Principal, Mr Justin Arul Pierre presided over the Changeof-Command ceremony where the highest ranking Year 4 cadet in each uniformed group, handed over his symbol of office, to the designated Year 3 cadet.
The parade ended with the retreat of the Year 4 cadet ICs in slow march to the sound of Auld Lang Syne, a befitting closure to their term of office.
