Lasallian Distinguished Service Award
Stanley is a young man whose intellect, creativity and quiet strength have left a lasting mark on the SJI community. More than just a high achiever, he is a humble and compassionate scholar, leader, artist and servant whose actions reflect integrity and care for others.
Academically, Stanley has excelled with distinction. He received the Best IP Student Award in 2024, topped Biology, placed second in Chemistry and was awarded the SJI Philanthropic Fund IB Academic Excellence Scholarship. His curiosity and innovation led his team to win the Best Prototype Award at SISTEMIC 2023 for a solar cooker design. He earned recognition in the Queen’ s Commonwealth and Live On Festival essay competitions and won Silver at the Singapore Junior Biology Olympiad 2025.
Stanley is also a gifted writer and performer. He co-authored Transience, took part in SingPoWriMo 2025 and led as Bass 2 Section Leader in the Vocal Ensemble, contributing to their 16-year SYF Distinction streak.
As a Prefectorial Executive Committee member, he mentored peers and led Orientation with creativity and empathy. Through his Signum Fidei project and service to those with autism, he embodied servant leadership. Stanley’ s integrity and spirit make him a worthy award recipient.
Tan Ying-sheng Alexander( MN403)
Lasallian Distinguished Service Award
Tan Ying-Sheng Alexander is a principled and compassionate student who combines intelligence, empathy and purpose in all he does. Known for his strong moral compass, he treats everyone with kindness and respect, often leading by example and considering the impact of his actions on others. His maturity and thoughtfulness make him a trusted peer and respected leader.
In the classroom, Alexander excels in the humanities and languages, particularly in English, Chinese and History. He engages deeply with complex issues, offering insightful perspectives and showing a strong command of language. In subjects like Chemistry, he demonstrated resilience and determination, working hard to improve. An active learner, he asks meaningful questions and embraces feedback.
Alexander’ s leadership is evident through his work in the Signum Fidei Programme, where he helped create impactful projects like SoleSwap and an AI SpellBot for kindergartners. He also served as Class Chairman, Vice- President of the Drama Club and Prefectorial Board Executive Committee member. Passionate about the arts, he acted, directed and stage-managed in major productions. Through international exchange and service experiences, he broadened his perspective.
Alexander leads with heart, learns with passion and is truly deserving of this award.
