Senior Josephian of 2025( Year 4) Brother Liefroy Bajon Student Leadership Scholarship Award Lasallian Distinguished Service Award
Darren Lee Ray Jie is a principled and compassionate student who has exemplifies the Josephian values of Faith, Service and Community. As Head Prefect, he led with calm confidence, humility and integrity. He empowered others by encouraging them to lead while offering support and guidance. His inclusive leadership style earned the trust of students and staff alike.
Deeply committed to service, Darren championed the cause of underprivileged children. After witnessing poverty in Tondo, Manila, he led efforts to support the MaJeKaL Mission. Through the 2025 Lent Project, he mobilised the school community to collect supplies and raise awareness. He also initiated an online peer-tutoring programme connecting SJI students with children in Tondo.
Darren further supported vulnerable communities by organising fundraising for exploited girls and co-leading a concert with the VIVA Foundation to raise awareness for children with cancer.
A two-time Kenneth Tan Humanities Award recipient, he also published his research and participated in the Innovation Programme. As a Drama Club director and committed member of the Legion of Mary, he combined creativity and faith in service.
In recognition of his leadership, scholarship and service, Darren received the 2025 Senior Josephian of the Year Award and the Brother Liefroy Bajon Student Leadership Scholarship.

SJI is proud to present the Lasallian Distinguished Service Award to Aaron Tan Yi Peng for his exemplary service and unwavering commitment to Lasallian values during his years at SJI( 2022 – 2025). Known for his integrity, responsibility and self-discipline, Aaron consistently made principled choices and earned the respect of peers and teachers alike. His humility, warmth and sincerity strengthened relationships across the school community.
Aaron’ s artistic talent and passion for photography greatly enriched school life. He represented SJI in national and international art competitions and was awarded the prestigious Brother Joseph McNally Design, Innovation and Arts Scholarship. His photography captured key school moments, helping preserve SJI’ s shared memories and spirit.
In sports, Aaron served as Vice-Captain of the Badminton CCA, leading his team to a historic third-place finish in the 2025 Zonal Round. His leadership, perseverance and selfless attitude were evident on and off the court.
Resilient and service minded, Aaron turned challenges into growth and lived out the Lasallian call to be“ a person for others”. SJI proudly honours him for his integrity, humility and lasting impact on the community.
