Chapter 1 SJI Community
Staff Welfare Committee
The SJI Staff Welfare Committee( SWC) continues to champion the well-being, camaraderie and holistic wellness of all staff members. With a renewed focus on balance and connection, the committee organised a range of engaging activities that encouraged both relaxation and togetherness beyond the classroom.
Beyond these events, the SWC continues to ensure that staff welfare remains a priority through ongoing wellness initiatives, care packages and emotional support. The committee’ s efforts underscored the belief that a happy, healthy staff community forms the heart of a vibrant school.
The highlight of the year, Teachers’ Day 2025, was a heartfelt occasion marked by appreciation and gratitude. Thoughtful tokens, creative performances and warm messages reflected the deep sense of community and respect among staff.
Together, these initiatives in 2025 strengthened not only the bonds among colleagues but also the spirit of care that defines our Josephian family.
The ever-popular Durian and Fruits Fiesta brought colleagues together to indulge in Singapore’ s favourite tropical delights. The lively event was filled with conversation, joy and the unmistakable aroma of durian; a true celebration of local culture and shared enjoyment.
The SWC also organised an invigorating kayaking session, where staff paddled in pairs and teams, strengthening bonds through laughter and teamwork while enjoying the tranquillity of nature. This outdoor experience served as a refreshing reminder of the importance of physical health and mental rejuvenation. There were also Yoga sessions and a Kpop dance session, among the many other events to keep us physically healthy.
