Staff Retirement

Mr Raymond Karam has been a valued and inspiring member of the SJI community. His contributions have profoundly shaped the school’ s growth and identity. As one of the pioneer Physics teachers in the International Baccalaureate( IB) section, he played a pivotal role in helping to establish the IBDP from its inception. His expertise, professionalism and commitment to nurturing intellectual curiosity have left a lasting mark on generations of Josephians.
Beyond his subject mastery, Mr Karam has served faithfully as Year Head from 2014 to 2024, where his fatherly guidance, wisdom and steady leadership have anchored the pastoral life of the school. His genuine care for students and colleagues alike exemplifies the Josephian values of compassion, integrity and service to others.

Mr Karam has also played a key role in leading overseas GEP experiences, strengthening SJI’ s partnership with LaSalle Bamboo School in Thailand. He has been the cornerstone for the smooth running of the programme. His efforts have deepened the spirit of Lasallian solidarity and broadened students’ understanding of service and community.
The SJI community expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Mr Karam for his loyal service, leadership and dedication. His contributions will continue to inspire and shape the Josephian community for years to come.
