Pre-U Seminar

“ In the pursuit of being stewards of the future, the Pre- University Seminar empowers Josephians to explore the future of Singapore and collaborate to build a stronger Singapore”
The Pre-University Seminar 2025 revolved around the theme of“ Re-Imagination”, encouraging students to innovate and explore different solutions to tackle challenges Singapore is facing, broken down into three sub-categories“ Thrive, Connect, Grow”.
This year, SJI sent a delegation of 20 Year 5 students to attend the 4-day, 3-night camp at Nanyang Technological University. There, they conducted interviews with experts and attended learning journeys in their relevant fields. They also participated in discussions within and across the sub-themes. This culminated in the final exhibition and closing ceremony with Guest-of- Honour Minister for Education, Mr Desmond Lee. The 24 groups presented their exhibitions and participated in a dialogue showcasing their learning and sharing their action plan in their Solution Proposals, releasing their vision for Singapore.
