Filming at Thanksgiving

Film Society

The Film CAS programme offers students the opportunity to explore the art of storytelling through the medium of film while fulfilling the IB’ s Creativity, Activity, Service framework. Participants engage in the full process of filmmaking, from developing concepts and writing scripts to directing, acting and editing.
Beyond the technical skills of handling cameras, sound and editing software, students also learn how to collaborate effectively in teams, balancing creative vision with practical problem-solving. The programme encourages self-expression and experimentation, allowing students to discover the power of visual language in conveying ideas and emotions.
At the same time, Film CAS places emphasis on service, as students often use their projects to raise awareness of social issues or contribute to the community through film. Ultimately, Film CAS nurtures creativity, confidence and communication skills, while giving students a platform to tell meaningful stories that can inspire and connect with others.
