SJI Symphonic Band
The year began with a captivating performance at the prestigious Arts Alive event, aimed at introducing Year 1 students to the school’ s vibrant arts culture. The band’ s engaging performance not only entertained but also inspired many students to explore music and the arts. The Symphonic Band also served the school by playing at the Chinese New Year celebration, Inaugural Assembly and Founder’ s Day, adding to the solemnity of the Mass. Their performance at the SJI Annual Parade greatly invigorated the spirit of the Uniform groups.
The period leading up to the Singapore Youth Festival Competitions was marked by an atmosphere of high intensity and commitment, with band members demonstrating remarkable dedication and resilience. This effort culminated in significant achievements at the SYF Competitions, where the band secured double distinctions by entering both the main concert band and a percussion ensemble. This success instilled a profound sense of accomplishment among the students and served as a powerful motivator for their preparations for the year-end Limelight concert.
