Year 3 Semester 2 In Semester 2, Year 3 students choose between two eight-week electives: Entrepreneurship or Coding with AI. Both programmes cultivate 21st-century competencies by developing Critical, Adaptive and Inventive Thinking( CAIT) skills to navigate modern challenges. The Entrepreneurship module introduces business fundamentals through the Lean Canvas framework, promoting critical thinking in market analysis, adaptive thinking in meeting customer needs and inventive thinking in generating practical solutions.
By fostering risk-taking, resilience and a growth mindset, students gain confidence and creativity. The module culminates in business pitches that strengthen communication, reasoning and the ability to identify and act on entrepreneurial opportunities.
The Coding with AI module strengthens CAIT skills through algorithmic thinking and problem decomposition. Students develop critical thinking by using flowcharts to analyse complex problems, adaptive thinking by refining processes and inventive thinking through digital prototyping to design creative solutions. As they progress, they learn to communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently, enhancing self-awareness of their problem-solving approaches and opening future career pathways in technology and innovation.
