Distinguished guests and experts express their interest in a biodiversity art installation during the IDEA 2025 Exhibition
The programme culminated in the IDEA 2025 Event, where students presented their projects through both an exhibition and formal presentations. The event was graced by a distinguished jury of experts in the field of biodiversity: Prof. Leo Tan Wee Hin, A / P Darren Yeo Chong Jinn, A / P Adrian Loo Hock Beng and Dr. Amy Choong Mei Fun, all from NUS. Prof. Tan reminded students that“ the best solutions may be the simplest”. At the same time, alumnus Karl Png, Manager at the National Parks Board, shared how his own ArtScience experience ignited his passion for biodiversity, underscoring the transformative power of the programme.
The top three winning teams at IDEA 2025 were:
BioBand – Smartwatch for conservation awareness( Loh Ming Shao Samuel, Ling Kai En Kian, Lee De-Kai Joshua, Yeo Tian En John)
PDD Express – Ocean pollution / algal bioremediation( Aaron Chua Teck Oon, Akshaj Prabhakaran, Ng Kai Ze Sean, Ethan Wong Wen Jie)
Blue Nets – Protecting aquatic life / preventing by catch( Sim Jay Young, Toh Yee Keat, Koh Yew Tin Kaden)
These winning teams now look forward with excitement to their upcoming exchange with Seoul Science High School in Korea this November, where they will share their ideas, collaborate with counterparts and continue their growth as confident, passionate and globally minded learners.
