Julian ’ s dedication to serving the school community is truly exceptional . He approaches his duties and responsibilities as the Vice Head Prefect with unwavering pride and dedication , creating a significant positive impact on both the student body and SJI as a whole .
His form tutors , Ms Ivy Or and Mr Samuel Ng share their perspective , “ Julian is a shining example of servant leadership and team spirit . He is always ready to serve others and rises to the occasion with humility . His outgoing nature and joyful character are invaluable assets within any team . In the classroom , he actively fosters strong bonds and relationships within his groups , creating a cohesive and joyful atmosphere .”
As Vice Head Prefect , Julian demonstrated a profound commitment to serving the student body . He introduced innovative initiatives like Project Germinate , which facilitated open communication between students and teachers , fostering deeper discussions on school policies and important issues . This initiative promoted inclusivity and harmony within the school community as it led to a shared goal of making the school a better place .
In his role as the overall in-charge of the Orientation Camp , Julian exhibited remarkable tenacity in seeing tasks through to completion . His desire to empower his teammates drove him to impart his skills and experiences , nurturing team dynamism and inspiring the Peer Support Facilitators and Peer Support Leaders to embrace the SJI spirit and pay it forward .
Julian ’ s Prefect mentor , Ms Wong Kah Yan , adds , “ As the Year One Orientation Camp In-Charge , Julian displayed empathetic leadership , deeply committed to the wellbeing and development of peer support leaders , facilitators , and new students . He invested time and energy in working through the programme with them , offering constructive feedback when necessary , and motivating everyone with uplifting pep talks . His genuine commitment to building community spirit is evident through his initiative to collaborate with the senior section on various projects .”
Both his Chemistry tutor Mr Eugene Wong , and Mathematics tutor Mr Lee Chee Wei , also acknowledged Julian ’ s outstanding qualities . They highlight his funloving personality , which infuses a refreshing and positive atmosphere into the learning environment . Julian ’ s infectious optimism and remarkable enthusiasm for his subjects set him apart . He consistently takes the initiative to seek clarification from both peers and teachers , demonstrating a clear dedication to self-improvement . Julian ’ s ability to deeply contemplate the impact of his actions and serve as a source of inspiration for his peers further solidifies his role as an excellent role model .
