Vocapella is an a capella group where the students perform anything from dedicated a capella pieces to covers of pop songs . Vocapella regularly participates in major school events . Accepting even those with little or no musical background but a desire and love for singing , the CAS focuses on creating a meaningful experience for its members by giving them opportunities to better themselves , not only in singing , but also in working with each other to achieve a common goal . With each song added to its repertoire , Vocapella continues to grow closer and reach greater heights .
2019 saw Vocapella perform twice for the school , first standing on stage during the Mutien Festival with The Real “ I Sing You Sing ” and next with their rendition of Keane ’ s “ Somewhere Only We Know ” during the Teachers ’ Day Celebration , inspired greatly by Glee ’ s version . Behind the scenes for these performances were numerous hours of rehearsals , meetings , reflections , and vocal technique sessions , often lasting well into the early evening . Overcoming the many obstacles of parallel commitments and improvised compositions , Vocapella has strived through and managed to put on shows they can be proud of .
