Sibu Islands Kayaking Expedition

The best education is one without any constraints that can unleash the beautiful butterfly from its shy cocoon . The best education is through a once-in-a-lifetime experience . At the tender ages of 14,15 and 17 , we were bestowed the chance to take it .
A group of Year 2 , 3 and 5 students took the plunge into an adventure of a lifetime - through the Sibu Islands Kayaking Expedition during the June holidays .
Wonders never Cease
The Sibu Kayaking Expedition is one of expeditions of the Josephian Outdoor Education programmes . A kayaking expedition spanning across the picturesque islands off Johore ’ s east coast , the crystal-clear waters and the untamed forests on the islands showed us what life was truly about . It transported us from the termly grind of assignments and homework to a state of wonderment and awe at nature ’ s beauty . Despite the mental and physical challenge of kayaking 40 km on the open sea , our minds were still at peace . Being on an island paradise surrounded by beautiful wildlife and jawdropping beaches was not the only reward . This expedition reinvigorated our spirits and tested our mettle . The expedition allowed us to learn in the best classroom of all , one roofed only by the sky .
