SJI Women ’ s Football only turned two in 2017 . Despite being a relatively new CAS , SJI Women ’ s Football participated in the ‘ A ’ Division Football Championships this year . Though we did not have as much experience compared to our competitors , we trained hard and fought with all our might during the matches . Our strength and adaptability helped us keep up with the fast-paced games , and we even received compliments from more established teams such as VJC and RI . Though the team did not win any medals , we had the invaluable experience of playing the sport . We were also honoured to hear our opponents comment that the SJI team earned the right to bow out with our heads held high based on our performance .
Aside from the national tournament , we have also been actively involved in friendly matches against other schools , bringing the same rigour to these games , and even winning a few against JJC and MI . 2018 has been a roller coaster for SJI Women ’ s Football ; from laying a strong foundation for the future of our CAS , to accomplishing many first-time feats both on and off the field . Our name in the Women ’ s Football scene in Singapore has risen as the team brimming with potential . By continuing to train hard and play hard , we are determined to bring SJI Women ’ s Football to greater heights , bringing glory to the sport and to the school .
