2016 marks a momentous year for the SJI tennis team . The SJI C Division tennis team advanced to the semifinal of the National Inter School Tennis Championship . The last time we achieved this was 20 years ago in 1996 ! It was through sheer hard work , rigorous training and team effort that the team managed to beat Victoria School and SJI International in the group stage before advancing into the semi-final . We then played against ACS ( Barker Road ) and finally emerged 4th in the Finals . Our B division boys also did exceptionally well this year and were runners up in the Plate
Final achieving an overall 6th position .
With pride , the team announced that Russell Kwong ( MN301 ) was a recipient of the Top Ball Boy award during the WTA finals held in October 2015 and represented Singapore as a ball boy in the Australian Open from 8 - 22 January 2016 .
Looking back , this season has finished off well and we are glad that we have done well as a team . We hope to continue to do the school proud in the years to come . Ora et Labora .
