ACHIEVEMENTS

National Inter-School Sailing Championship 2014 ‘ B ’ Division – 4th placing ‘ C ’ Division – 4th placing

Our sailors have displayed a strong sense of camaraderie , determination and commitment .

Our ‘ C ’ division Fleet comprising Zachary Lim ( FN202 ) and Keagan Tan ( FN203 ) had 4 new additions , Joel Ha ( FN103 ), Jeryl Lim ( ML101 ), Jonathan Wan ( MN101 ) and Gerald Yong ( MN102 ). They worked hard and managed to clinch the fourth position in the team event at the National Inter-Schools Sailing Championship held on 8-11 April 2014 .

The ‘ B ’ division fleet comprising Captain , Edward Tan ( LE402 ) and Vice-Captain , Joshua Tan ( LE401 ) led Max Koh ( LE403 ), Dylan Lye ( MN302 ), Benedict Leong ( ML302 ), Jerald Ha ( ML303 ) and Mark Wee ( FN303 ) led the team to the fourth position .

The sailors also embarked on Project Scubillion in which they spent a morning during the school holidays helping the Good Shepherd Sisters load up two containers to Kenya .

The performance of the SJI sailors bodes well for the future of SJI sailing .

The Josephian spirit remains prevalent among team members , coach , teachers and parents . Our sincere thanks to the parents of our sailors , without whose support and encouragement our sailing team would perhaps not have been able to achieve what we managed this year . Thanks also to Coach Fendi , teachers , Mr Alfred Nathan , Mrs Nicole Khoo and Ms Josephine Khoo for their guidance .
