2014 was a bountiful and memorable year for SJI Hockey . It started with the SJI team comprising Secondary 1,2 and 3 players emerging champions in the Singapore Hockey Federation U19 Tournament . Our ‘ C ’ Division Team also clinched a top four finish in the National Schools U14 6-a-side Tournament . In addition , both the ‘ B ’ and ‘ C ’ Division qualified for the quarter finals of the National Schools 11- a-side Tournament . Our ‘ C ’ Division Team also participated in the 2014 Singapore National Games Hockey 5s Tournament where we emerged overall champions for the U15 Category . Another ‘ C ’ Division team also clinched 4th position in the same tournament .

To strengthen bonding within the teams , a Malacca competition tour was organised for the boys where they were pitted against the top secondary schools in Malaysia . Despite the formidable opposition , the boys displayed resilience and mental toughness in all their matches . Aside from hockey , our team were involved in a few community involvement projects such as the Annual Real Run organised by HomeTeamNS , and the SCC Hockey 6 ’ s where the team played the role as ball boys .
