ST JOSEPH ’ S INSTITUTION • JOSEPHIAN ANNUAL 2014 CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES • UNIFORMED GROUPS
The scouts assemble in the hall on the noon of 12th July , to witness the ceremony . In the hall , the scouts watched intently as the Secondary 3s marched to the respective position holders and obtain their newly given roles whilst saying their thanks and goodbyes . All the Secondary 4s then proceeded to bid their goodbyes to their juniors . The atmosphere was solemn , sad , and joyous at the same time .
Anniversary Parade Being in the SJI Anniversary Parade is an honour .
Those who were skilled in their foot drills would be selected to take part in this parade . They would have to train for weeks to be in their tip top condition .
After the actual parade , they would be proud of what they have accomplished , knowing that they have done everything they could have possibly done , knowing that they have achieved a higher standard . It is an honour to participate in this event and we would hope that the next year will be an even better one .
Patrol Leaders Training Camp Patrol Leaders Training Camp , also known as PLTC , is the annual camp for all Scouts . It takes place at Sarimbun Scout Campsite , a camping ground that enables us to conduct activities that we would otherwise not be able to do in school . This includes , Backwoodsman and cooking , pioneering and SRIC . It also allows our very own Secondary 3s to step up and take the role of a leader as they guide their patrols . Overall , PLTC consists of many fun activities that would bond the whole unit together and also allows all Scouts to realise the true meaning of scouting .
