The Indian Cultural Society ( ICS ) is a cultural group which works hand in hand with the Tamil department to promote the appreciation for and nurture the students ’ talents in the Indian culture and arts in SJI . ICS provides several opportunities for its members to learn about their culture and a platform to expose students to social activities like cultural visits and community involvement programmes as well as training in traditional and digital art forms such as debate , dance , drama and short film performances . All higher mother tongue students have been encouraged to join ICS at the start of Secondary 1 so that they are aware of the Indian Inter- School activities .
