More adventures awaited the kayakers but they were delighted to reach the campsite where they could retire for the night .

The expedition continued the following day despite many weary and reluctant bodies , and trying to stay in the kayak was a major feat for many . The highlight for the next part of the journey was a waterfall . When the students reached their destination after kayaking and making their way over and around boulders , the sight they beheld was well worth their effort .
Another morning arrived all too quickly and the kayakers had to head off to an Orang Asli village but not before they overcame one last rapid – the final one on the trip . They encountered a waterfall but not one as grand as the one they saw the day before . With some apprehension , they plunged down it quickly much to the disappointment of the thrillseekers among them . The rest of the day was spent swatting swarms of mosquitoes , being caught in a 9 capsize war , singing with gusto and simply enjoying one another ’ s company .
The last day finally came – a relief for those who were experiencing a bit of homesickness but a sense of wistfulness for those who thrive on adventure . One thing was evident everyone had been mentally , emotionally , physically and even spiritually challenged and that was all due to this kayaking expedition .
