JOINING THE NAC BOARD OF TRUSTEES
 The Role of the Board
 NAC is a registered charity which means that a group of volunteers are responsible for ensuring the organisation is run in a proper and professional manner and it focuses on delivering its mission . NAC ’ s mission is to provide culture and leisure opportunities for the citizens of Wolverhampton and work to improve quality of life in the city .
 Trustees meet every eight weeks for a couple of hours to discuss with the senior staff ( the Chief Executive and Site Manager ) issues relating to the development and running of the organisation . They are sent papers in advance that include information about the finances , staffing , programming , site management , funding and other key aspect of NAC ’ s operations .
 JOINING THE BOARD
 We currently seeking to add to the skills and diversity of the Board to make NAC more representative of the communities we seek to serve , and to enable the Board to address the many challenges of post-COVID recovery .
 As well as attending Board meetings and reading the Board papers , trustees get involved in the life of the centre . They regularly attend live events onsite and represent NAC in other local and regional meetings of community and cultural organisations .
