About Us :

Newhampton Arts Centre is a busy community arts centre situated in Whitmore Reans , just outside Wolverhampton City Centre , very near to the Molineux football ground . In our theatre we stage just over a 100 live events every year – mainly music and theatre . Every week there are over 20 classes in our studios including youth theatre , yoga , street dance and English as a Second Language . We are home to almost thirty resident artists and organisations – including two recording studios , a radio station and a professional magician .

NAC is based in the former Wolverhampton Municipal Grammar School buildings and operates the site on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council and City of Wolverhampton College . It is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and receives regular funding from them . Other current funders include Children In Need , The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation amongst many others .
